Hello, my name is Becca Gilmartin.

I’m an Adelaide native working in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and L.A. as a Makeup Artist. I am the Beauty Editor of LAUD Magazine and as well as freelancing... I am also building The Green Brush Project up for Australian Makeup Artists.

This blog is where i get to let me hair down and diary my journey as a makeup artist and all those things that interest me. 


Born in Adelaide, Australia and currently residing between Australia and Los Angeles, Becca’s makeup aesthetic stretches across the full spectrum of natural beauty to body art effortlessly as one of Australia's favourite makeup artists.

Beauty Editor of L A U D Magazine and ABIA’s 2014 Makeup Artist of the Year, Becca’s unique work has been featured in publications such as LAUD Magazine, Black Mag, RUSSH, Vogue Italia Talents, Oyster, i-D online and Makeup Artist Magazine. Her body work has been a semi-finalist for the Moran Art Prize 2012 and 2013 with her work with Patrick Fileti and Thor Elias.

Becca is a regular speaker on the international stages of IMATS, Salon Melbourne, Sydney Beauty Expo, AH&M Trade Show and has appeared on Channel 7s The Morning Show. As a qualified educator, Becca is a regular guest trainer at Australia's leading Makeup Schools as well as touring around Australia her unique course, Makeup Artist Bootcamp. The founder of The Green Brush Project, Becca is committed to maintaining a support network for Australian Makeup Artists which includes being the Creative Director of The Face2Face Makeup Awards in Sydney since 2013.

Becca works with talents such as Kimbra, Dannii Minogue, Tara Moss, Antonia Kidman, Martin Short, Jenny Kee, Angus Stone, Sarah Blasko, Missy Higgins, Sophie Monk, The Presets, Lisa Mitchell, Ella Hooper, Gracie Otto, Barry Otto and has been commissioned to work on shows such as Australia’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and the X Factor with Makeup and Body Art.
