The caption reads in today's Sunday Telegraph...
" She may be one of Australia's most sought-after makeup artists yet Becca Gilmartin's real passion - and specialty- is body art. Beccas skills are in high demand and she has worked with the likes of Tara Moss, Dannii Minogue, Kimbra, Megan Washington and a slew of other global music, film and TV stars and models.
Beccas blog TwoSix & Brush has become the go to blog for makeup artists and becca lectures to sellout crowds both here and the US"
I am super proud to be part of Kristian Taylor Woods exhibition 'High Scrollers'. Not only have I been the makeup artist on this project... I also managed to get super talented Amelia Axton and Gina Cartwright to come and body paint me for my own shot. Its the first time I have been body painted and I have to say... I should do this more often. Chefs eat their own food... makeup artists do their own makeup... I should experience body art more so I know how it feels!
Seeing this article in the Sunday Telegraph today bought something home for me... I haven't given any love to www.twosixandbrush.com in waaaaayyyyyy tooooooo loooong. I have no excuses but good reason... I have been a busy bee......:
Now that 'We The Painted' is drawing to a close and ready for production... may I say... my inner stationary and font nerd is in heaven.... I will be back breathing life into TwoSix & Brush as normal. I can't wait to discuss some of the topics that have been popping up during Mua Bootcamps too... one of the most prevalent ones being the question I get in every bootcamp - 'how do you become creative?' This is something I talk about in the book but can't wait to share about it here too.
I didn't wake up this morning thinking I would have to turn down interviews with Ch10 and Ch7 because I am out of Sydney... Doh! I need to remind myself the reason I am up here is to finish W E T H E P A I N T E D as well as prepare for upcoming MUA Bootcamps and some overseas work. Great problems. I now have a life filled with great problems. Isn't that the goal?
