WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
The Green Brush Project is an industry project created for the support and development of Makeup Artists in Australia.
The main component of the GBP is an 8 week mentorship programme designed to enable emerging artists to have a clear vision of how to steer their makeup career – and puts them in action to produce results. Emerging artists are paired with established artists to guide them through the programme as an invaluable experience through online group webinars and face to face meetings.
Starting in 2010 as a social media experiment by Makeup/Body Artist Becca Gilmartin… the Green Brush Project has evolved into a project that is of real value and contribution to the Makeup Industry. In 2013, The Green Brush Project is once again supports the Face2Face Makeup Awards and is host to the ‘Makeup Super Panel’ at Salon Melbourne.
Past ‘Emerging Artists’ have gone on to gain full time employment with their mentors…. worked on TV shows such as ‘The X Factor’ with their mentor and even formed their own makeup agency.
THE GREEN BRUSH PROJECT’S PURPOSE
To create and maintain a SPACE for Makeup Artists to support each other as artists and encourage integrity and culture within our industry.
Through the 8 week mentorship, artists look at where they are… what might be in the way for their careers to progress and gets artists into action. Some artists even find new pathways previously undiscovered and most report a significant jump in their own confidence as a Makeup Artist.
